Scherer Violin Shop is a preferred local vendor for rental instruments in the Boulder-Denver metro region. Our rental program is a great option for those students just starting out, or those not quite ready to purchase. We also offer 12 months of rental-purchase credit as a way for rental customers to purchase an instrument in the future. If you already know the size instrument you’re looking for, we offer an optional rental instrument delivery service to all of Boulder county. Delivery areas include Lyons, Niwot, Longmont, Erie, Broomfield, Westminster, Superior, Boulder, Nederland, Thornton and Louisville.
* All rentals include the instrument, shoulder rest, rosin and cleaning cloth. Other accessories such as music stands are available for purchase but not included.

I believe in renting quality instruments that are affordable. My rental program is user-friendly and straight forward. Instruments may be rented in 3-, 6-, 9-, or 12-month increments. Convenient online invoicing allows you to make payments online and you will automatically be billed on the same day of the month. You can return the rental instrument at any time and terminate the agreement with no further obligation to pay.
Maintenance plan with replacement coverage is available, which includes the cost of repairing the rental instrument during the term of the lease. Repairs include damage due to accidents, ordinary wear and tear, and replacement in the event of loss or theft. Damage caused by abuse or misuse of the instrument is not covered.
